Pizza Uno

Last night, before heading down to Salsa Havana, we decide to head over to Pizza Uno in Taipan for dinner. The restaurant was packed with the weekend crowd usual but we manage to sneak ourselves in to a nice space just at the entrance of the restaurant.

We started off with the Calamares Fritos, some how I felt the portion and the size of the Calamares served in this outlet is smaller than the one at The Centerpoint, Bandar Utama.

And next up, we had the Marinara Sauce, the sauce was thick with huge seafood and a good portion of spaghetti.

and to end the night, the dessert of choice is the Uno's Dream Cake. Very Cheesy so I didn't eat any of it. Yes, I know, sad but I can't take cheese.

All in all, the dinner was good, the company was great. Loads of laughter and camwhoring, even the waiters and waitresses enjoyed our antics. Live is good.

Duck Porridge

My bad that I can't recall the name of the restaurant but it's the one place I love to go to when I have a craving for Duck Porridge.

Just to give you a rough idea of where this place is located. It's in PJ New town, located opposite the MBPJ Tower, next to UOB Bank. Got it? Anyone who knows the name of the restaurant, please let me know. Thank You very much.

Anyway, this is what I normally go for whenever I eat there.

The Porridge... the most important piece of this whole meal.

The Duck, prepared by the boss using his secret ingredients. The Sauce is addictive and I would usually ask for extra bowls of sauce to be added into my porridge.

Hard Boil Eggs, goes well with the porridge and the duck meat.

There's also this vege, to me, not really a must as I'm not a vegetable person.

Well, there you have it. A meal that I truly enjoyed when I have a sudden craving for Duck Porridge.

Krispy Kreme

I lived through Heaven and Hell this morning. Heaven when I was eating the Krispy Kreme for Breakfast and Hell when I realized that I just took the last bite of the last krispy kreme that I had.

Yes, I had Krispy Kreme. Thanks to Alvin for bringing them back to Malaysia. It was 8.30pm when we reach KLIA and the first thing we did was come up with a sign so that Alvin knows who to look for, you know, when you come out of the Arrival halls, you look for your name kind of sign?

Well, ours worked very well for he saw us from afar even before we saw him. The customary handshake and formal introduction was done in less than 5sec as after all, we’ve all chat with one another online so… no need the introduction. Everyone knows Alvin Krispy Kreme. Right?

As Alvin has to hop off to the next flight out of KLIA, we did the next thing that is most important. Check through the boxes of Krispy Kreme to make sure that none was missing.

With that done and a couple of potrait shots of the KKs, we left KLIA for home. Once home, while packing the goods into a safe place, I just couldn’t help taking a few more pictures and finally, sacrificed one of the victims. All in all, very nice.

Was told this one is a special edition for the Christmas Season only…

As a final note, here’s the victim before I finished it up.

Pancakes @ McD’s

Yes, I normally don’t talk about McDonald’s if I can help it. Bad experience at McDonald’s that still left me traumatized.

Anyway, it’s the only fast food chain that serves breakfast as far as I know. I can’t say A&W cause there’s not many around. Hopefully KFC would soon serve breakfast and I’ll be a happy man.

Anyway, the last time I had pancakes @ McDonald’s was way back earlier this year when I made a trip down to Singapore. As far as I know, McD’s in Malaysia don’t serve pancakes. Well, not that I know of. Until… this morning. Walked into Centerpoint BU’s McDonald’s and I saw on the menu. Huge posters serving Pancakes. So without a 2nd thought on what to eat. I ordered one for myself.

Was it good? Well…. it’s a pancake, what can you expect from it? We can’t expect the same type you can get at Pancake Parlour. Right? At least now I know where to go when I’ve craving for Pancakes and got lazy of making my own.

Red Ginger

Lunch at Red Ginger, went there last Thursday with my colleagues to eat and must say that it’s a nice little restaurant to hang out in if you want a place to chit chat and have local food.

Red Ginger’s located at Bukit Damansara, at Medan Setia 2 to be exact, just the other end of the Public Bank block. What we ate was as follow.

Fried Kuey Teow

I think this is the Ginger Chicken Rice

Nasi Lemak with…

Curry Drumstick

and I had ….

Sang Har Mee

Was the food good? Well, the preparation and all was quite common, the portion isn’t alot and for this type of food, it’s quite pricey. Would I go there again? Only if someone else is paying.
