It doesn't have a real name as far as I know, but alot of people know this little shack/restaurant as the Restaurant under the Big Tree in Sungai Way. From what I was told, they only operate during the day, lunch crowd mostly and by mid afternoon, they'd be packed and gone home.
Went there with my contractors sometime back and boy, was it good! Price wise? CHEAP! Really! anywhere else and the price you'd have to pay is twice of what we paid for this meal.
I can't remember the names of the dishes we ate so just have a look at the photos and hopefully you could identify the name of the various dishes... do let me know too what they are called by leaving a comment k?
To get to this place is quite easy, if you're coming from the direction of Jalan 225, just turn towards Sungai Way and watch out for the junction on your left. The restaurant's located right at that junction.
One funny incident was, a man saw me taking photos and approaches my table asking me whether I'm there to snap some photos cause the restaurant owes me money. I was like huh? And my contractor laughed it off and told him that I like to take photos of food.
After that man walked off, the contractor just turned towards me and told me that man's a loan shark and Sungai Way's his territory. Well, to me, it's not really a worry anyway, as long as we didn't do anything wrong, there's nothing to be worried about. Right?
Anyway, if you're in the area of Sungai Way, feels like eating some nice home cooked dishes at a reasonable price, give this little restaurant a try. Oh yeah, another thing you need to know is. Try to be there by 1pm or the place will be packed with customers.
