When I first heard of the place, I thought that it sounded very Balinese not knowing the type of food they serve. Well, reaching the place only confirms my suspicion that it’s in fact an Indonesian restaurant.

After finding a nice place to seat, I manage to talk to the owner of the place and was told that this restaurant had in fact been in operational for the past year and most of the patrons are Indonesian students that stay around the area. Somehow, Malaysians staying around the area doesn’t know how to appreciate everyday Indonesian dishes still. Hopefully, that would change soon and with this little introduction to the food would help with the appreciation.

One of the first dish that was served was the Pecel Ayam. An Indonesian styled fried chicken, one of the recurring theme that you’d find here would be the sweetness of all the dishes. Starting with this dish, apart from the usual fried chicken taste, it also tasted sweet. Definitely a dish that I’d order again when I return to that restaurant.

The next dish that was served was the Ikan Balado, when it was placed in front of me, my first reaction was, GOSH! Chilies!!! And I said that cause I can’t eat spicy food, a shame but true. But taking a bite into it changed my mind about it being spicy cause it isn’t! What it is though is sweet but the fish had that fishy smell which would turn off some people.

Pecel Lele, fried catfish that tasted amazingly good. I’m not a big fan of catfish as I find the taste odd but this catfish disappeared faster than the chicken that arrived before it. That’s how tasty it was.

A meal is never complete without some dessert right? And here, we had the Es Campur which unlike the local ice kacang, is filled with fruits and syrups. One of the main fruits that you can easily spot in this bowl of Es Campur is the Avocado. Which leads us to…

The Avocado Juice which is the signature drink in Batavia, unlike any avocado juice, this glass of juice is served with a good serving of chocolate syrup which gives it a very unique and sweet taste. Try it for yourself!

One last bit, before we end this post is that, there’s two other desserts that you should give it a try. They are the Pisang Bakar and the Roti Bakar. What’s so special about these two dish? Look at it, both covered with a good amount of butter, cheese flakes as well as rice chocolates. Weird combinations some might say but heck, it sure taste good!

The address of the place is 9, Jalan PJS 8/10, Sunway. Check it out and give it a try!

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-33140451729842797882008-04-10T07:59:00.000+08:002008-04-10T08:00:20.158+08:00Restaurant End of the World
After the completion of the Press Conference and some meetings with suppliers in Penang Island, the organizers decide to head out to Teluk Bahang on the Monday to grab some dinner before heading back to KL. So off we went, on a 20min ride from Tanjung Bungah to Teluk Bahang and finally stopping at this restaurant called Restaurant End of The World.

Not sure if it's the end of the world we were at but definitely, the end of the road that we want to continue on for the driver would have been skinned alive if he doesn't stop for food soon.

As we were there to just fill our stomach before heading back to KL, these was what we ate.

Seafood Fried Rice - Simple fried rice, abit salty to my taste though.

Braised Tofu with Seafood - Nicely prepared, what I like most of this dish is the sauce.

Oyster Omelet - I'm no oyster eating person, so I only dig around for the eggs which wasn't completely cook, or was that the oysters I ate?

Grilled Red Snapper - One of the crowd favorite on our table, snapped up within minutes upon landing on the table. Perfectly grilled.

Wanted to order their Cheesed Tiger Prawns but the price they quoted us was madness (I suspect they have 2 separate menus for the locals and tourists seeing that there's only 1 chinese and 2 Venezuelans and an indian lady on the table. LOL)

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-53600237984139409602008-03-27T00:01:00.000+08:002008-03-27T00:03:46.480+08:00Food @ Asia Cafe
Tuesday, I had a nice guest that came all the way from Penang to meet up with me and so the question that popped up was, where can we go for dinner?

The usual back and forth of suggesting a place to go went on for a good 5min before we decide to go somewhere near where there’s alot of choices. So… off I drove us to the nearest place to the hotel. Asia Cafe in SS15 Subang.

What I ordered for us was the following…

Ikan Pari Pari bakar – I told the cook to cut down on the sauce as it’ll kill the overall taste, can say that I made the right decision. The fish was cooked just the way I like it.

This was followed by Fried Mushroom, I’m not sure what type of mushrooms these are called but it was nice to chew on.

The last thing that came was the Sotong Ball. I think its called Taco balls. I don’t usually like the sotong ones as the sotongs are quite .. rubbery to me. But here is a mixture as there’s also the prawn and crab meat ones.

All in all, Asia Cafe is a nice place to go to hang out, there’s less and less choice of food to choose from though as my favorite Lobak stall is no longer there along with a few other stalls’ standards dropping. I guess this is due to the fact that the locals are not preparing the food anymore and tasks had been handed down to the foreign helpers. When was the last time you went?

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-78160031133232025552008-03-13T23:05:00.000+08:002008-03-13T23:06:50.990+08:00Home Made Pan Mee
Pan Mee, most of the time, we just go to the restaurant to buy it. But sometimes, it's just nice to make the pan mee ourselves. Home made style Pan Mee doesn't have all those fancy fancy stuff you get from those sold in the Restaurant.

BUT... the big BUT here is that we can put in as much of our favorite add-ons as we like. In my case, minced pork and loads of it! I must admit that the dough for the pan mee was not prepared by me but my mom! But cooking it and all that... done by me.

So, what do you think? So while doing some shopping in Bangsar on the Friday night, we decide to head over to the one in Bangsar Village 2. Maybe the time to go was at their peak period but heck, we had to wait about 30minutes (felt like centuries) before we were given a place to sit.

Looking through the menu, I was given the task to choose the food we were to consume and these was what we ordered.

Smoked Salmon Angelhair – Very nice, not too creamy and the Salmon was very fresh!

Grilled Chicken Spinach Salad – Another excellent Salad dish from Delicious. Very filling too.

Wedges – The side dish that accompanied the Salad and the Angelhair. When we order this dish, we didn’t know there was so much! Heck, we couldn’t finish this plate of wedges no matter how we try.

We also ordered the mashed potato but sadly, they ran out of it. Definitely worth another visit, this time, will definitely make a reservation before heading there. Another matter I'd like to point out. Remember my previous post about Shanghai 10? Somehow they couldn't sustain themselves in Bangsar and had since shifted/closed down. If anyone know where they have moved to, will be great if you could let me know. Thanks!
Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-28913656529460395542008-03-04T14:04:00.000+08:002008-03-04T14:12:24.862+08:00Fried Rice Ala Zique
Today, I come to you to teach you the art of cooking your own fried rice... MY STYLE!

The Ingredients:

1 Can of Luncheon Meat aka SPAM chopped to cubes

1 whole Potato chopped to cubes

1 whole Onion chopped to your liking

2 Spoonful of Rice

First, heat up the Wok with 2 spoon of oil.

Place in the Potatoes with a pinch of salt and toss til it starts to turn golden brown

Place in the Luncheon Meat next and stir until you get tired of stirring.

Place in the Onion next and stir until you got bored (or until the onion looks soft).

Place in the rice and stir for awhile before adding in a dash of Soy Sauce for taste. Stir until you feel that it's enough before placing into a nice looking plate.

There you have it... Fried Rice.... oh yeah... I had a pot of Pork Stew as side dish but I finished it before I finished cooking the rice so, no pics from it.

End result? It should look like this...

What do you think? Food wise, the place is quite good with a nice atmosphere. Located in Bangsar’s Telawi 2 amidst all the pubs and clubs, the place provides various type of dishes from dimsum to noodles.
What we ate was the following… sorry, no names of the food (I lost my note )

Reasonably priced dishes and a nice place to go whether you’re alone or in a group before hitting the bars and clubs around bangsar.Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-80979119143506547502008-02-15T17:42:00.001+08:002008-02-15T17:45:40.179+08:00Valentine's Day Dinner
Guess where I took MiSsMyNx for Valentine’s Day Dinner? Where you able to guess? It’s written all over my previous food post!

Anyway, since no one answers me (how could you right? You’re reading my blog, not chatting with me…). The answer’s Ninja Jones @ Northpoint.

Making an early reservation was a good thing as there were practically crowd lining up waiting for their seats at the entrance from 7.30pm onwards… Now, the best bit I overheard from the manager was that, by 8.30pm, those without reservation, they have to be turned away. There just isn’t enough space to accomodate walk in customers for that day. Inside my heart was like, phew, Thank God I made reservations for us.

On to the food that we ate…

Gyu Karubi Sumini-Yaki: Wagyu Beef or Kobe Beef, your choice. The beef do taste different compared to those you get in other places. All those massaging and alcohol DO give the cows better meat! How long it takes for you to cook the beef is also up to you, so you can choose to have some as rare, medium raw or cooked.

Salmon Carpaccio: Raw salmon prepared with some italian touch. To tell you the truth, I don’t really like those salmon that was served at Sushi Kings and all those fast food Sushi restaurants cause I feel that the fish ain’t fresh enough. But This plate of raw fish, I can tell you this, the one plate we ordered isn’t enough for both of us!

Soft Shell Crab Temaki: This California Roll with Soft Shell Crab in it looks good, but I didn’t eat any of it. Didn’t really like Seaweeds.

King Prawn Roll: I’ve commented about this dish before in my previous Ninja Jones post and I will still say it again. It was good! Too bad they didn’t have any Caterpillar Roll that night or we’d have ordered that again.

Volcano Roll: Again, a dish that we can never get bored of, no matter how many times we orders it.

Eringi Ninniku Shoyu Grill: Mushrooms on a grill, best eaten as soon as it arrived as the mushroom will tend to have a tougher bite to it as it starts to dry up from the heat of the stove.

Ti-Ra-Mi-Su: The Tiramisu Cake with a scope of green tea and some fruits in it. A nice dessert to end the night.

So, How was your Valentine’s Dinner? As we got there, I was told that we had to book the place way in advance as the place was packed with people. No booking means no entry to the restaurant.

After we got in and got our table, I overheard my cousin reminding a person over the phone that her booking was at 9pm and so I naturally asked, why eat dinner so late? The explanation was that the place was so packed with bookings that there were 3 sessions organized by the restaurant.

There’s the 5pm slots, 7pm slots and the 9pm slots. Of course, the 7pm slot was the hardest to get and we managed to get one. The one that was the saddest was the 5pm slot but then, there’s not much of a choice if you’d want to have a reunion dinner right?

The reason why the 5pm slot wasn’t the more popular ones is because, imagine you had your dinner at 5pm. By 9pm, you’d be hungry again! right?

End up, you’d be going for supper and for those that is concious about their body, they’ll be complaining about weight gain!

Anyway, so far, that’s the food we ate for the dinner and after that, we proceeded to Jusco to just walk about and got another Yee Sang dish from Sushi King. Yup! FOOD!

We got it for our midnight supper after we got back from the temple, my cousins and I went to one in Menglembu to have our 1st prayer of the chinese calendar year (and for me to snap photos, which I’ll be posting at a later post).

I realized that I never sleep early when I’m in Ipoh but heck, who would want to sleep when you could have some ‘profitable’ fun during Chinese New Year, right?

The Sushi King Yee Sang

Back to the topic of food, I can’t say that the food was great as it’s just common dishes that was pre-prepared by the restaurant just for this occasion so everything was very … ‘manufactured’. Sadly, that day is also Pasar Malam day for that area so driving is out of the question.

So with our equipments hanging all over our shoulders, we take a walk towards the restaurant of our choice (actually it was my idea). The target point? Restaurant Thian Heong, famous for it’s Char Siew Ribs.

Found a nice aircond area to sit and these was what we ordered.

Char Siew Pork Ribs – Excellent and juicy, one of the items to finish first when the lunch and dinner crowd hits.

BBQed Honey Chicken with Sesame Seeds - The chicken was prepared just nice with a light coat of honey making it not that sweet with the fragrance of sesame seeds.

Roast Duck – There’s alot of other places which serve better roast ducks than this restaurant but I just had a mad craving for it so I just had to order it.

Lettuce – To make the meal complete, we need to have a vegetable dish with the rest of the meat isn’t it? Anyone? It’s the Cha Kui! Right?

Anyway, some time back in 2006, we visited this place in SS2 known as Kafe Golden Bread but it has since closed down. Last Sunday, was told to watch 8TV has HoChak! was on and what did you know? They featured the Kafe Golden Bread again! This time, it’s the main one at Sri Petaling and we just had to go and check the place out and give their food another try.

Came Tuesday and that’s where we went for dinner. Kafe Golden Bread. Browsing through the menu, these was what we ordered.

Three Musketeers (Ham + Hotdog + Chicken Floss)
This is a Cha Kui piece with pieces of Hotdog, Ham and Chicken floss in it, there wasn’t enough chicken floss though.

Old Buddies
This one’s chopped up pieces of Cha Kui with Rojak sauce and crunched peanuts and sliced cucumbers.

XO Fried Cheong Fun
Chee Cheong Fun with XO Sauce, simply spicy and nice.

Braised Pork Shank with Dry Noodles
Braised Pork Shank served with Dry noodles and some vegetables, you can also opt for rice if you’re a rice person.

Vanilla Ice Cream Cha Kui
To end the night, we had the Vanilla Ice Cream Cha Kui as desserts. It's been awhile since we last had Claypot Loh Shu Fun and so off to Seng Kee we go.

Yau Mak aka Romaine Lettuce: I just learned it's english name today!

Located at Petaling Street just before the turn-off towards BP House/MABA. At 3am, Seng Kee was packed with customers, no wonder they are willing to open until so late. Anyway, the usual dishes we order was none other than the Claypot Loh Shu Fun followed by my favorite Deep Fried Roast Pork and "Yau Mak". The only other vegetable apart from Spinash that I like to eat without complains.

Deep Fried Roast Pork: Lard infested excellent Dish

With all the oil shortage scare that goes around, the cook doesn't seem to be worried at all as the Roast Pork was served with a healthy amount of oil floating about. The same goes with the vegetables but I'm not complaining.
Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-8949523324701666042008-01-13T16:50:00.000+08:002008-01-13T16:54:22.245+08:00Carl’s Jr. Midvalley
A few weeks back, after so much chatters from friends about Carl’s Jr., I decide to go give it a try and so, after picking Missmynx up from work, we head over to midvalley to give it a go.

Now, before reaching there, I was telling her how so many people say that the burgers was huge! That even for a person such as myself, will have problem finishing it and the other important aspect is, the price is doubled of what McD’s and Burger Kings are.

I told Missmynx that it’s fine, as long as the portion served is as everyone claimed it to be. Paying over RM20 for a set is worth it. So, off we went, parked the car (does anyone feel that it’s getting harder and harder to find a parking space in Midvalley?) and head off to the 3rd floor.

When it came to my turn to place the order, I placed the orders for big mac lookalike (with bacon) for missmynx and I had the Double Chicken sandwich set (both of these are supposed to be HUGE! judging from the displays) and after paying for it and waited for it, when it arrived. I had to double confirm with the waiter that the two burgers (see photo above) is what I ordered. Now why would I do that? Cause… the two burgers looked PATHETIC They are so… PUNY for the price I pay

Anyway, after complaining to Missmynx about the pathetic size of the burgers, we sat down, gobbled it all up in less than 5 bites and sat there for a good half hour discussing over the patheticness of the burgers. The only consolation is, the fries are quite good.

Now, I’ve come to this conclusion that not all would agree with me. Carl’s Jr. will eventually run out of business after all that hype dies down for the simple fact that… The Burgers does not justify the price we pay. For a single set meal we order at Carl’s Jr., I could have ordered 2 meal sets + an extra fries at Burger King (which also offered FREE FLOW OF DRINKS). With that same amount of money, I could have brought 8 Ramly Burger Specials and the burger chef would be ever so nice to give us extra tissues to go too!

I’ve read in some blogs that they say the Carl’s Jr.’s burgers are huge! I’d have to say that they have puny mouths, that’s all. Would I go and eat there again? Don’t think so, if I’d want to pay RM20++ for a burger set, I’d have just gone to TGIF and ordered a Jack Daniel’s burger and I get to watch LIVE sports on their Tele too!

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-18132250263197718722008-01-11T12:17:00.000+08:002008-01-11T12:19:52.470+08:00Restaurant Big Tree in Sungai Way
It doesn't have a real name as far as I know, but alot of people know this little shack/restaurant as the Restaurant under the Big Tree in Sungai Way. From what I was told, they only operate during the day, lunch crowd mostly and by mid afternoon, they'd be packed and gone home.

Went there with my contractors sometime back and boy, was it good! Price wise? CHEAP! Really! anywhere else and the price you'd have to pay is twice of what we paid for this meal.

I can't remember the names of the dishes we ate so just have a look at the photos and hopefully you could identify the name of the various dishes... do let me know too what they are called by leaving a comment k?

To get to this place is quite easy, if you're coming from the direction of Jalan 225, just turn towards Sungai Way and watch out for the junction on your left. The restaurant's located right at that junction.

One funny incident was, a man saw me taking photos and approaches my table asking me whether I'm there to snap some photos cause the restaurant owes me money. I was like huh? And my contractor laughed it off and told him that I like to take photos of food.

After that man walked off, the contractor just turned towards me and told me that man's a loan shark and Sungai Way's his territory. Well, to me, it's not really a worry anyway, as long as we didn't do anything wrong, there's nothing to be worried about. Right?

Anyway, if you're in the area of Sungai Way, feels like eating some nice home cooked dishes at a reasonable price, give this little restaurant a try. Oh yeah, another thing you need to know is. Try to be there by 1pm or the place will be packed with customers.

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-59796807293647345752008-01-10T11:01:00.000+08:002008-01-10T11:03:24.424+08:00Restoran Makanan Ban Lee
If you’re heading to Jalan Ipoh from Chow Keat Road, this is one restaurant you’d see on the left just next to Dynasty Hotel. The signage is old but the words can still be read. Restoran Makanan Ban Lee is the name.

Was there last week for lunch after I ran some errants and as I’ve always seen this restaurant packed to the brim at night, my friends and I decide to give it a try at lunch time. What they serve there? Bak Kut Teh! Yup, that’s what we had.

What I think of the food? The meat’s fantastic, as I asked for them to ensure there’s more fats than meat. That’s precisely what I received, along with some ribs and some vegetables.

As for the soup? I feel that there’s abit too much MSG for my taste. Having eaten so many Bak Kut Teh in my life, this one does feel too much MSGish. Cups after cups of chinese tea was downed throughout the 1 hour meal.

Would I go back there for another round? Don’t think so unless I had no choice. Why I say that? Well, I had a habit of feeding the animals that comes about my table when I eat, I’ve thrown bones onto the floor at the Bak Kut Teh restaurant in Klang and the cats would just grab it and chew on it even until after I left, but the pussy that was at Ban Lee refuses to even touch the meat after it took a whiff of what I gave it.

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-54863344333459877362008-01-04T16:21:00.000+08:002008-01-04T16:22:56.491+08:00Buffet Dinner @ Sunway Hotel
This was shot quite some time ago but I only remember these while I was cleaning up my HDD for some upcoming projects.

Some time in December 2007, Missmynx and I went to Sunway Resort Hotel to have some buffet dinner and to hang out with June.P. No particular reasons and it was an impromptu thing. We head down to the lower part of the hotel to their restaurant where a crowd has already build up fighting over the buffet line.

For us, we just hung around chit chat a bit and get a place to seat, the plan was fixed and we then split up to go hunt for our preys.

Choice wise, they have quite an impressive array of dishes from the western to the eastern. In terms of the display, I can’t comment much as I mentioned earlier, hungry packs of wolves got there before us and whatever food that was beautifully displayed and decorated has since been left to suffer the faith they were there for.

While the inside served all the ready made food, they have the tapanyaki and BBQ stuff outside. Just the usual array of stuff like Chicken, Beef and Fish. Oh yeah, they also had the usual chicken and beef satay which is quite small in size compared to those Kajang satay.

In actual fact, we didn’t have much game plan when it comes to what to eat first and all, it’s all just a matter of picking what look delicious and whack those stuff first. How long were we there?

We arrived at the place about 7.45pm, the restaurant closes at 11 and we were sitting about until 11.30pm before heading over to the lobby lounge to listen to some live band.

At that time, they had a band that called themselves PUTRI performing and I can sum up their performance in one word. SHIT. Yes, that’s how I felt about their performance. It was the worst 2 hours of my life listening to them sing and the type of music they sang are limited.

I think I can sing better than them in any given day. A group of 5, out of the 5 performers, only 1 can sing and her singing can only be describe as Karaoke-ish. Last I heard from June.P, the hotel has since changed to a new band which in her opinion is better than PUTRI 10 fold.

Would I go back to Sunway Hotel for their buffet dinner? Yes I would and I would make sure that there’ll be a proper plan and to stick to that plan when it comes to attacking the food.Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-23262227502739967202007-12-30T11:41:00.000+08:002007-12-30T11:46:09.886+08:00Pizza Uno
Last night, before heading down to Salsa Havana, we decide to head over to Pizza Uno in Taipan for dinner. The restaurant was packed with the weekend crowd usual but we manage to sneak ourselves in to a nice space just at the entrance of the restaurant.

We started off with the Calamares Fritos, some how I felt the portion and the size of the Calamares served in this outlet is smaller than the one at The Centerpoint, Bandar Utama.

Calamares Fritos

And next up, we had the Marinara Sauce, the sauce was thick with huge seafood and a good portion of spaghetti.

Marinara Sauce

and to end the night, the dessert of choice is the Uno's Dream Cake. Very Cheesy so I didn't eat any of it. Yes, I know, sad but I can't take cheese.

Uno's Dream Cake
All in all, the dinner was good, the company was great. Loads of laughter and camwhoring, even the waiters and waitresses enjoyed our antics. It's in PJ New town, located opposite the MBPJ Tower, next to UOB Bank. Got it? Anyone who knows the name of the restaurant, please let me know. Thank You very much.

Anyway, this is what I normally go for whenever I eat there.

The Porridge... the most important piece of this whole meal.

The Duck, prepared by the boss using his secret ingredients. The Sauce is addictive and I would usually ask for extra bowls of sauce to be added into my porridge.

Hard Boil Eggs, goes well with the porridge and the duck meat.

There's also this vege, to me, not really a must as I'm not a vegetable person.

Well, there you have it. A meal that I truly enjoyed when I have a sudden craving for Duck Porridge.Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-71980550854670532342007-12-07T18:16:00.000+08:002007-12-07T18:17:31.067+08:00Krispy Kreme

I lived through Heaven and Hell this morning. Heaven when I was eating the Krispy Kreme for Breakfast and Hell when I realized that I just took the last bite of the last krispy kreme that I had.

Yes, I had Krispy Kreme. Thanks to Alvin for bringing them back to Malaysia. It was 8.30pm when we reach KLIA and the first thing we did was come up with a sign so that Alvin knows who to look for, you know, when you come out of the Arrival halls, you look for your name kind of sign?

Well, ours worked very well for he saw us from afar even before we saw him. The customary handshake and formal introduction was done in less than 5sec as after all, we’ve all chat with one another online so… no need the introduction. Everyone knows <strike>Alvin</strike> Krispy Kreme. Right?

As Alvin has to hop off to the next flight out of KLIA, we did the next thing that is most important. Check through the boxes of Krispy Kreme to make sure that none was missing.

With that done and a couple of potrait shots of the KKs, we left KLIA for home. Once home, while packing the goods into a safe place, I just couldn’t help taking a few more pictures and finally, sacrificed one of the victims. All in all, very nice.

Was told this one is a special edition for the Christmas Season only…

As a final note, here’s the victim before I finished it up.

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-78014337036157978752007-12-06T13:51:00.000+08:002007-12-06T13:53:39.911+08:00Pancakes @ McD’s
Yes, I normally don’t talk about McDonald’s if I can help it. Bad experience at McDonald’s that still left me traumatized.

Anyway, it’s the only fast food chain that serves breakfast as far as I know. I can’t say A&W cause there’s not many around. Hopefully KFC would soon serve breakfast and I’ll be a happy man.

Anyway, the last time I had pancakes @ McDonald’s was way back earlier this year when I made a trip down to Singapore. As far as I know, McD’s in Malaysia don’t serve pancakes. Well, not that I know of. Until… this morning. Walked into Centerpoint BU’s McDonald’s and I saw on the menu. Huge posters serving Pancakes. So without a 2nd thought on what to eat. I ordered one for myself.

Was it good? Well…. it’s a pancake, what can you expect from it? We can’t expect the same type you can get at Pancake Parlour. Right? At least now I know where to go when I’ve craving for Pancakes and got lazy of making my own.
Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287781036268146203.post-39358078069289142472007-12-03T13:28:00.000+08:002007-12-03T13:30:36.531+08:00Red Ginger

Lunch at Red Ginger, went there last Thursday with my colleagues to eat and must say that it’s a nice little restaurant to hang out in if you want a place to chit chat and have local food.

Red Ginger’s located at Bukit Damansara, at Medan Setia 2 to be exact, just the other end of the Public Bank block. What we ate was as follow.

Fried Kuey Teow

I think this is the Ginger Chicken Rice

Nasi Lemak with…

Curry Drumstick

and I had ….

Sang Har Mee

Was the food good? Well, the preparation and all was quite common, the portion isn’t alot and for this type of food, it’s quite pricey. Would I go there again? Only if someone else is paying.

Michael Yipnoreply@blogger.com
